We met with John recently, and listened as he explained how you can have more free time for yourself while enjoying a spotless home;
Housework, Etc. is a residential cleaning service maintaining our customers' homes from Lakewood to Sheffield lake, and from Lake Erie down to I-480. We offer weekly service, bi-weekly service, and monthly service, in addition to performing one-time cleanings for move-ins, move-outs, and special occasions. We dust, polish, vacuum floors and furniture, maintain woodwork, light fixtures, fans, and dust wall hangings and edge carpets when needed. We sanitize kitchens including doing outside of appliances, the inside of microwaves, remove prints from cabinets, do counters and sinks, dust and do floors. In the bathrooms we thoroughly clean tubs, showers, toilets, and sinks as well as maintain lights and mirrors. Typically we furnish our own supplies and use our own equipment. However, if you prefer to furnish a product you like better, we're happy to use it. In general, we take care of all the normal things that you would have to take care of on your own if you didn't have a cleaning service.
The fact that we've been in business since 1989 tells you that we must be doing something right. I'm proud to say that I have one employee who has been with me over eleven years, and I have several that have been with me over five years. That should tell you that this must be a good place to work. We pride ourselves in taking care of our employees, because the employees are the ones who make our business successful. Our goal is to be the best at what we do, so our primary focus is on making sure we take good care of the employees so they take good care of you. All of our employees are truly employees. We take care of all their various payroll taxes, and we are insured with over a million dollars in liability insurance. All our employees are bonded and covered by Worker's Compensation Insurance, as well as Unemployment Insurance. We randomly drug test our employees, which enables us to provide you with the safest work force possible.
Our cleaning is performed by teams consisting of a working supervisor and at least one or two assistants. If you're a regular client of ours, you have the same supervisor each time we visit. Your home will be maintained by someone you're familiar with, and someone who is familiar with how you want your home cleaned. All of our employees are bonded and insured for liability, unemployment and worker's compensation.
We offer two pricing options. The first option is utilizing our services by the hour. With this option, you decide what you want us to do each and every time we come to your home, and we charge for the amount of time it takes to complete the project. The vast majority of our customers, however, prefer to be on a fixed fee basis. With this option, you pay a fixed fee, and we perform a set routine, cleaning the same items at each visit. We do not require a signed contract since we believe that as long as you are pleased with our work, you will continue to use our services.
At Housework, Etc., we don't have to do every room in your home every time we come in. We can do something as simple as cleaning floors, doing bathrooms, or we can do one floor one week and another one floor the next. We can clean your heavily-lived-in areas every time we visit, and just occasionally pick up other rooms that aren't used as much. We'll do as much or as little as you'd like. We do have a two person, one hour minimum, and then after that, your fee is based on how long we think it should take to do the job.
When you're considering hiring a housecleaning service, I will meet with you to make sure we have a clear understanding of what you expect, and to ensure you have a clear understanding of what we're going to do. This not only enables me to give you a fixed price, it also lays the groundwork for building a level of trust that makes each of us comfortable. You may decide to entrust us with keys to your home and alarm codes, and we want you to know that at Housework, Etc., we take that trust very personally.
