Founded in 1955 by Al Stocking, Litehouse started as a residential and commercial liquid bleach supplier to commercial, municipal, and residential swimming pool owners. The company expanded into swimming pool construction and maintenance by 1965, and in 1967 opened its first retail operation in Berea, Ohio.
